Gregory Maurice Harris Jr, is Black American poet and advertising creative born and raised in Saint Louis, MO in 1989. The Son of Gregory Maurice Harris Sr and Diana Elizabeth Bryant and twin brother of Craig Wayne Harris.

Diagnosed at 3 years old with a learning disability and failing the first grade for behavioral problems he would face challenges to overcome the fear of writing and public speaking.  In 2008, Gregory Maurice, after never joining any writing or poetry clubs, would quickly become enchanted with spoken word poetry. His senior year at Pattonville High School, he would write his first poem titled “ Look”. He attended Missouri Western State University in  Fall 2008, majoring in Marketing.  Gregory Maurice soon after joined the university poetry group, “Soulz of Redemption”. 

He would become one of many poets to join UrbArt Poetry Collective in 2010. Gregory Maurice has opened up for poets such as The Last Poets, Sunni Patterson, Taalam Acey and J.Ivy. Later, he would compete in poetry slams and make the first poetry slam team in 2013. Traveling with The Saint Louis Poetry Slam Team to Tampa, New Orleans, Madison-Wisconsin, Greensboro, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Denver, Kansas City, Kentucky, Arkansas and San Antonio. After 8 years of slamming Gregory Maurice became Slam Master of The Saint Louis Poetry Slam in 2020.

Gregory Maurice founded GC Studios with my brother in 2016. Helping business owners develop branding and marketing solutions. Working in the industry of marketing and advertising he has helped entrepreneurs launch start-ups with creative copywriting. In 2017, Gregory Maurice took an opportunity to do a voice over for an award winning ad campaign “Pianos For People ” by Roger Townsend Ad Agency. His creative agency is working on several house brands and is producing a poetry film titled “Keep The Flame Lit”
